January 11th, 2012A new group has been set up in the South East of England by breeder Fergus Moloney. Fergus has sent us on the below with regards to this new group. We wish him the best of luck.

The Southeast of Ireland Connemara Pony Group held its inaugural meeting on Tuesday 29th November 2011 at 8pm in Bunclody. The meeting was widely advertised on various Connemara Pony Sites and equestrian sales sites on the internet; as well Clifden Connemara Pony Sales, Goresbridge Horse Sales and in the mainstream equestrian press.
Those in attendance duly elected a committee of seven, who then adjourned shortly to another room to decide roles and responsibilities within. All seven committee members were given various roles. The meeting then went on to establish the purposes of the group. From the floor it was decided that the purpose of the group was:

Olympia Heritage M and M Qualifier – Rules

The “Olympia” Heritage M&M Open Ridden Class (Class 14) will take place in Ring One in the afternoon at CPW. Ponies 4 year old and over. Riders any age. 1st and 2nd prizewinners will qualify for a semi-final to be held at the BSPS “Heritage” Championship Show at Arena UK.Exhibitors need not be members of the BSPS but in order to enter the Semi-Final the qualifying ponies, owners and riders must be Registered with the BSPS.
